Wooden nickels are given as reward for taking care of your braces. As your orthodontic office we not only want beautiful smiles we want healthy smiles. Achieving beautiful and healthy smiles requires good home care. Our office has established a reward system for our patients who take great care of their braces at home. With excellent oral hygiene and no broken braces, our patients collect wooden nickels. Wooden nickels are cashed in to receive gift cards for local stores, restaurants, etc. Our staff will explain this to you further when your braces are placed.
